The courtyard and single-storey byres offer a safe, pleasant environment for all guests, including those needing level access.

The proposal balances contemporary design with respectful references to the rural setting. By retaining and enhancing the existing buildings, it demonstrates a commitment to local heritage. A carefully designed extension will boost the site’s capacity while remaining true to the local vernacular.
